About Me

I am Soumalya Basu Roy, a software engineer from Kolkata, India. Since 2023, I have been pursuing photography as a hobby, with a particular interest in capturing people, street scenes, and travel destinations. Additionally, I've explored studio photography, which has expanded my perspective.

My journey into photography began as an artistic escape from my professional career in software engineering. In 2024, I had enrolled into Calcutta School of Contemporary Photography where I had the chance to improve my skills.

Through my lens, I aim to capture emotions, whether it's the hustle and bustle of city life, the serene landscapes of travel destinations, or the candid expressions of people I encounter.
